Mission Statement
In the year 1988 with the invaluable suggestions of Dr S Rau (elder brother of Dr Chadra), Dr Chandra decided to set up a Foundation with the avowed objective of helping the poor and needy with activities that would change the course of their lives for a lifetime. In the year 1989 was established Sankurathri Foundation.
In another couple of years of study and interactions with the innocent children meandering in the fields chasing cows and buffaloes with one hand and playing gilli danda with the other, Dr Chandra decided to establish a school and tutor them to make a difference in their lives.
Thus started Sarada Vidyalayam in the year 1992 with Dr Chandra and Ms Hema, sister of Dr Chandra working on a blueprint for learning with an open mind, within a framework of an everlasting value system and disciplined living.
In the year 2007, the school upgraded itself to that of a High School and the students moved into a newly constructed spacious building in the campus. In tune with the changing demands and the clamour for instruction in English, the school introduced pre-primary (nursery) and English Medium (EM) classes in the year 2016. The first batch of 10th class (English Medium) passed out in the year 2024.
