Success Stories from Our Alumni
"Sankurathri Foundation was established by Dr. Chandrasekhar who lightens the future of many students and employees of Srikiran's Family. I am one of the student among them and now I am working as software engineer. Without Dr. Chandra, I can't imagine my life because he is the mentor for me and guided me in many difficult situations. I can discuss anything about my professional and personal life with Dr. Chandra and I am implementing all the suggestions in my daily life. He will encourage everyone to do hard work and discipline to achieve our goals. Sarada Vidyalayam is one of the branches of Sankurathri Foundation where hundreds of students getting free education along with food and transport facilities. I would like to thank Hema madam who is doing best for the Students of Sarada vidyalayam. The thing which captured my interest in Sarada vidyalayam is to train the students not only in the studies but also in dance, games, Yoga, drawing, Singing and Vedas, etc. Through the Srikiran Eye Hospital, thousands of people getting benefitted for their eye problems free of cost. The most important thing that we have to know about Srikiran hospital is they themselves arrange eye camps in the rural areas and perform surgeries, provide medicines and also provide employment to so many people and helping the people who are living nearby Kakinada. Spandana is a disaster relief program started in 1998. It is an arm of Sankurathri Foundation which will help poor people with the basic necessities such as food, drinking water, clothing, etc. at the time of natural disasters in the area. Dr. Chandra is my role model. He always shows the right path to me when I am wrong. He talks softly and politely to others. He never makes anybody sad or harasses them. He inspires me to become like him. Really I am always thankful to Dr. Chandra and Hema madam on behalf of many people like me. But I know conveying thanks in words is not important now, we have to join our hands to give support to the people like Dr. Chandra. It will help more people like us. I will certainly follow their footsteps to help others without expecting any returns. "

"This is Jakkilenki Renuka Ganga. I am currently working as Ward women and weaker sections protection secretary in Kakinada urban under GSWS department, AP State Government. I am alumnus of Sarada Vidyalayam and had studied there for 6 years i.e., from 1999 to 2005 till 7th standard. Later I was admitted in Aditya public School English Medium, with the help of Hema madam, sir and Syamala madam and studied there from 8 to 10th standard. I have done my Intermediate in Aditya Junior College and BTech from JNTUK in Petrochemical Engineering. I got campus placement in an MNC named Capgemini and worked in Mumbai and Hyderabad for four and half years. Later I prepared for public sector examinations and qualified in GSWS exam in 2019 and have been working in Kakinada since then. I could have done all my education without any interruption, in spite of my family's financial crisis only with the help of sir. I am very grateful to my school Sarada Vidyalayam which not only made me academically brighter but also played crucial role in developing my character which is very essential in both personal and professional lives. Government of India has launched National Education Policy 2020 which targeted for Holistic learning. I can proudly say that this Holistic learning approach was in practice in my school since it's inception in 1992, where we used to have planned activities everyday like Exercise on Monday, stories on Tuesday, Games on Wednesday and Saturday, Hand stitching and Embroidery on Thursday and slokas on Friday. Apart from this we used to have our favourite session Activity class in which Hema madam directly used to train us to make crafts out of used products, made us to play creative games and used to tell Epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata etc. We were also trained in Yoga and Classical dance and everything was free of cost. In fact our parents had to just send us to school without bearing any financial pressure. I can say our school is the best school in the world which provided quality education along with uniform, books, bags, food, milk, chappals and even transportation freely, which helped in achieving zero drop out rate as everything was provided in my school. Usually school students like holidays but we always loved to be in school because of the affection of our teachers and madam. We have learnt good behaviour, handwriting and healthy competition which helped us to analyse our behaviour and learnt to correct our mistakes. Our school has taught us the human values which are needed to be practiced in everyday life. I am blessed to be a student of Sarada Vidyalayam. When I went to Aditya School, the Principal madam and all the teachers were very much impressed by my behaviour, handwriting and perseverance. I stood first among all the sections of the 8th standard by Quarterly itself in spite of coming from Telugu medium. I could have done that as I had very strong foundation in Sarada Vidyalayam and could stand among top 10 students in 10th standard as expected by Principal madam. I used to deliver Telugu speeches and used to participate in essay writing competitions and used to win first or second prizes to my school. Sir had provided me scholarships till my B.Tech. By being honest and with the knowledge over core subjects made me qualifying through my first ever interview in which I got campus placement in Capgemini. Urge to learn new things perfectly made my journey easier as a Software Engineer even though I was not from computers background. To understand the situation without rushing and the judging others, helped me in giving counselling to the couples and students in my current job. To be passionate, to be affectionate and service oriented thinking are the blessings for the students of Sarada Vidyalayam. Whenever I need any financial support or mental support Hema Madam and Sir are always there for me and guided me in every step. If there is no Sarada Vidyalayam in my life I would not have been like this. I am very grateful to my school for nurturing me and helping me in going through all the situations. "

"I am Padala Murali Krishna. I was born in Thammavaram village which is 15kms far away from Kakinada. I have 7 members in my family, my father, mother, two elder brothers, two sisters-in-law and myself. My father's name is P.Srinivasa Rao and mother's name is P. Achcha Ratnam. My father sells wegetables to support the family and mother is a housewife. Presently I am working in ISRO at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Nellore, AP. I studied up to 6th class at Zilla Parishad high school in my village. While I was studying 6th class I didn't know English & Hindi. My hand writing and behavior were also not good at that time. Sometimes I felt I was dropping from studies due to lack of awareness about education. There was no one at home to help me in this matter as all my family members are illiterates. I didn't have any self motivation towards education to continue my further studies. One fine day, my neighbor friend told me about Sarada Vidyalayam school education system and how those teachers are taking care about student's discipline and education. His words motivated me and I wanted to approach Sarada Vidyalayam management for help. At that moment I decided to continue my 7th class in Sarada Vidyalayam. When I really wanted to go to Sarada Vidyalayam and write the entrance examination on a specific date, my school teachers came to know about my plan and they blocked the main road so that I cannot attend the examination. When I noticed the road block I travelled through the side roads and reached Sarada Vidyalayam to write the entrance examination. I met school Correspondent, Dr.Chandrasekhar and his sister Hema, and asked for their permission to join in the school. At that time they conducted one internal entrance test but I didn't write exam well. So I felt very unhappy and depressed, thinking that I lost a golden opportunity in my life. But the school director, Dr.Chandrasekhar and his sister Hema have given me a chance and helped to me to join in 7th class in their school. The school is like a Hindu goddess Saraswathi matha temple. It entirely changed my behavior, attitude, outlook and my study habits a lot. I observed that the main theme of the school was to teach human values, discipline and extracurricular activities in addition to good academic standards. Sarada Vidyalayam teaching faculty is very good and affectionate. Dr.Chandrasekhar and his sister Hema had provided not only free education but also provided free transportation, school uniforms, lunch, milk, bags, slippers etc., for all the students. I always feel very happy when I remember Sarada Vidyalayam because it was my life's turning point and I will never forget that place. It provided a very good and solid foundation to my entire study life. While I was writing 7th class final exams I felt nervous and at that time Dr.Chandrasekhar, Hema madam and school teachers supported, motivated and instilled confidence in me. Due to their support and motivation I got 572 marks out of 600. Sarada Vidyalayam School gave me the opportunity to experience the first taste of success in my life. After 7th class, Dr.Chandrasekhar had given me guidance to write AP residential school (Gurukula Patasala) entrance test to continue further studies. In that test I got district 1st rank and got seat in AP residential school at Bhupathipalem. After joining in 8th class in AP residential school, Dr.Chandrasekhar financially helped me for buying of books, uniform and other expenses. I studied up to 10th class in that AP residential school. The school education there also was good, but not that good as Sarada Vidyalayam in taking care of students discipline, growth and extracurricular activities. In AP residential school we learned how to be independent in thinking, preparing notes, etc. But we missed the happy and homely atmosphere of Sarada Vidyalayam. By the school teacher’s support and Dr.Chandrasekhar and Hema madam's guidance I got 564 marks out of 600 in final 10th class exams and for this academic performance I was selected for national scholarship and Prathibha scholarship. These scholarships helped me to continue my further studies and at the same time boosted my self-confidence. After 10th class, Dr. Chandrasekhar suggested me to write CEEP polytechnic entrance test to study diploma course. I got state 776th rank and got Government seat in Mechanical Engineering branch at Andhra polytechnic college, Kakinada. After joining in diploma course Dr. Chandrasekhar had given his valuable suggestions to improve my English vocabulary and communication skills. Up to 10th class I studied in Telugu medium, so his valuable suggestions have helped me to continue my study in English medium. While studying in diploma course I was selected for Bread society scholarship, and also Dr. Chandrasekhar gave some money to support my studies. These scholarships helped me to continue my education without any interruption. While studying 2nd & 3rd year diploma course I had to study computer basics, 'C' language and AutoCAD courses privately. To study these courses I needed some financial help and at that time Dr. Chandrasekhar has supported financially to learn those courses. In final year diploma course project work report was completed within time schedule by his helping hand by providing one computer to me. Diploma course faculty taught lessons very good. With all my faculty support and Dr. Chandrasekhar's guidance I got 89.57% in mechanical engineering diploma course and in 3 years I got branch 1st rank. For diploma aggregate score I got State 2nd rank in mechanical branch. In final year I selected for 2 campus placements ITC and Dr.Reddy's lab. At that time Dr. Chandrasekhar suggested me not to accept those jobs and encouraged me to do B.Tech for good career growth and knowledge. After Diploma course, Dr. Chandrasekhar had given me guidance to write the Engineering entrance test. I wrote ECET entrance test and got State 36th rank. I got seat in mechanical engineering in S.R.K.R engineering college, Bhimavaram. After joining in SRKR engineering college Dr. Chandrasekhar extended financial help in paying my college fee. At SRKR engineering college the faculty was also good. They taught lessons well and also helped in improving my technical knowledge. I completed 3 years Mechanical Engineering course in that college with the support of my parents, Dr. Chandrasekhar and Government scholarship. In final year semester exams I got CGPA 10 out of 10 points and overall academic score CGPA 9.31 out of 10 points. For these academic results I got 1st rank in the Mechanical Engineering branch of Andhra University. Andhra University also awarded me with four memorial prizes for excellent academic performance in that academic year. They invited me to 82nd Andhra University special convocation function and presented me with four memorial prizes (Sri UGK Rao Memorial prize, Late. Sri.Polireddy Venkata Ramana Memorial Prize, R.L.Lazarus Prize-I and Vadlamudi Nageswara Rao Memorial Prize) and four merit certificates. While I was in the final year of my B.Tech program I was selected for L&T Company and Tech Mahindra automobile parts design company. At that time Dr. Chandrasekhar had advised me to join L&T Company. I joined L&T Company and worked for 18 months. While working in L&T Company I got selected for ISRO. Presently I am working in ISRO as Technical Assistant to assist in Engineer's/Scientist's works. Really I want to say that I am an ordinary person but at every point of my success and behind my every move there is one person. He is ‘Dr. Chandrasekhar’. He is my mentor, inspiration and guiding light. There are no words to explain about such a great personality. By his valuable guidance and helping nature (financially also) I became an Engineer and also got this job. He is the source of inspiration to all the students of Sarada Vidyalayam. Dr. Chandrasekhar has dedicated his entire life for serving people, he is a role model for us. He is helping poor students and poor people. He is giving services through school, eye care and Spandana. I wouldn't have been in the present situation had I not studied at Sarada Vidyalayam. I am forever grateful for the organization for my success. I am also inspired and motivated from Dr. Chandrasekhar by his philanthropic nature. After joining in L&T and ISRO, I also started to extend a helping hand to the financially backward students. I am giving financial support to my friends for their studies and also saving a little amount in my monthly salary for poor children's education. I am also offering free coaching classes to diploma engineering students. "

"I am Sri Rama Chandra Murthy Bandi, S/O Nala Subramanian, a student at IIT Delhi currently pursuing my B.Tech with major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Computer Science. I would like to detail in about myself which include my family background, studies, challenges I faced, my future plans. It may be an interesting story moreover like every other story having some bumps and drops. To start with, I should talk of my family. I am from a poor family, my father being an agricultural laborer, my mother -a house wife, and my brother pursuing his career as a Charted Accountant. I was operated at very younger age in both eyes for cataract. I was operated for both eyes free of cost at Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology. Even after the operation I am left with poor eyesight. But I could somehow manage to study despite my eyesight. My father despite our poor financial situations has toiled for our studies. It's not that all, he encouraged me in every way. He advised me friendly and counted on my choices. I completed my 10th standard from Bhashyam Public School, Kakinada with a score of 571/600, where I started my training for JEE and won some Olympiad competitions. While I was growing up, I was interested in analyzing my observations of things. I developed my interests in science ever since. I should say, it really helped me in achieving my goals. I then joined Bhashyam IITJEE Academy, Guntur where I focused on my goal to crack JEE exam. It came out finally, I was able to clear the JEE exam with good rank. I also scored my Intermediate 954/1000. As to my liking towards science and machines I opted for Mechanical Engineering. Ever since I came to Delhi, I rendered my talents and knowledge to a great deal. I am pursuing even my courses in Computer Sciences. Last year when my family has a problem to support my studies me and my father approached Sankurathri Foundation for scholarship so that I can continue my studies without interruption. Dr.S.Chandrasekhar received us very cordially, enquired about the details and supported by giving Rs.60, 000 for one year. I am thankful for the organization for supporting my studies last year. I also have sent a request for this year and they are willing to support my studies this year. I will be deeply indebted for their support to complete my education. I would sincerely and passionately like to assume any status which uses my skills to the fullest which would benefit society. I have figured out that the best ways which would serve my purpose and keeps me enthusiastic in my work, because after all my loyalties lies with science. I also would like to continue my studies at M.I.T.,USA after completing my studies at Delhi. "
